Flowing abstracts,
hand poured in Kent

About the Artist

Drawing inspiration from the coastal beauty of Kent, Jane creates fluid art that mirrors the movement of the sea and the ever-changing sky. Her seascape pieces evoke a sense of calm and vastness, blending deep blues, soft pastels and intricate wave like details that capture the essence of water meeting land.

Beyond ocean inspired works, Jane explores bold and dynamic abstract compositions featuring rich, flowing hues of emerald,
gold and teal.

These striking pieces bring energy and depth to any space and can be customised to complement individual interiors, from modern home to professional settings.

Each painting has been created using a form of art known as ‘Paint Pouring’ or ‘Fluid Art’. Using a mixture of acrylic paints, mica powders, pouring mediums and ‘cell activators’, paints are carefully layered and manipulated across the canvas to create a beautiful abstract or impressionist shape, sea and landscape. Every piece is truly unique.

Flight of Fancy by UK Artist Jane Burdett

Fluid Acrylic Techniques

The process involves carefully layering and guiding the paint across the canvas to produce unique, flowing forms that can't be replicated. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, shaped by instinct, experience, and the materials themselves.

Two Distinct Collections

Jane's work centres around two evolving bodies of work, stunning abstracts and coastal seascapes. Each collection reflects a different mood and method, but both are grounded in colour, movement, and composition.

Artist Grade,
Archival Materials

All paintings are made using professional, artist-grade materials chosen for their quality, colour performance, and durability. Acrylic paints are combined with high-quality pouring mediums and shimmering mica powders to create vibrant, layered effects. Where used, finishes include an archival satin varnish to protect the surface and ensure the artwork maintains its colour and clarity over time.

Professionally
Finished

All artworks are created on gallery-wrapped canvases using archival-quality materials. Each piece is professionally framed by The Seward Gallery in Maidstone, using clean, modern wooden frames that complement the work. Paintings are delivered ready to hang, with care taken in both presentation and packaging.

Inspired by
the Sea

The sea makes me feel free, alive, and creative. My work is shaped by the east Kent coast, the colours, the tides, and the ever-changing horizon. If you're drawn to the coast too, feel free to get in touch about available seascape works.
